Two kids, a six-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, died after fire broke out at a four-storey building in south-east Delhi. The mishap happened at Abul Fazl Enclave in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar on Tuesday.
The two children were moved to Holy Family Hospital by a police vehicle but could not be saved.
The fire seems to have broken out due to short circuit in the ground floor. There is a furniture shop in the ground floor and the family lived on the first floor.
Six fire engines reached the spot after neighbours called the police at around 1.30 pm.
About a month ago, a massive fire had broken down in Karol Bagh hotel where 17 people were killed. State government authorities had found huge lapses on the part of the hotel, which did not follow fire safety regulations.
Similar violation of rules and regulations is happening in umpteen congested places which lead to mishaps causing loss of precious lives and property.
