Woman and her friend arrested for allegedly misbehaving with traffic policeman

Delhi police on Tuesday arrested a woman and her friend for allegedly misbehaving with traffic policeman. According to the reports, the accused were stopped in Delhi’s Mayapuri area for not wearing helmets.

According to the police, the incident happened around 6:30 pm and was caught on camera. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Monica Bhardwaj said that the traffic policeman filed a complaint following which a case was registered and the two accused were arrested. The two, identified as Anil Pandey and Madhuri, were drunk.

In a video which went viral, the woman, who was a pillion rider, can be seen misbehaving with the policeman. She was shouting at the policeman and kept pushing him away.

She was also saying that her brother has died and she had to reach at the earliest. But the police has denied there was any such emergency.

While she was arguing with the policeman, her friend Pandey was trying to drive away. But another policeman snatched the vehicle’s key and stopped him. However, the woman again hit the policemen and snatched back the keys from them. The heated fight also led to traffic congestion in the area and the accused also engaged in the arguments with the crowd.
