The Hush Post: One of the pictures of yesteryears actor Dharmendra’s younger son Bobby Deol has gone viral. It is an interesting picture with him posing for a photograph with an old lady making rotis on a chullah in a village in Punjab.
82-year-old Dharmendra shared the picture on his Insta account and captioned it, “This is from where we are, this is what we eat, we will always be connected to our roots”.
Dharmendra spends most of his time in his village Dangon in Ludhiana. He has many animals in his farmhouse and has planted different fruit-bearing trees. In his farmhouse in Lonavala in Mumbai too, he indulges in organic farming.
In younger days, Dharmendra would often ride on bus roof-tops to watch Hindi films in Ludhiana. He would once a week on Fridays travel from Sahnewal to Ludhiana.
One one of those days, with some money in his pocket he bought a Filmfare magazine in which entries were invited from youngsters wanting to become actors. A few days later a photo session at a studio in Malerkotla helped him reach Filmfare and become one of the successful contestants.
In his initial days, it was Meena Kumari who was his senior and offered him a lot of support in his acting career before he became a superstar. Dharmendra often comes to Sahnewal and meets up with his old friends.
