Entertainment @The Hush Post: Amitabh and Rishi Kapoor last came together in Ajooba, a movie produced by Rishi’s uncle Shashi Kapoor. Now they will be seen together once again in 102 Not Out, a film directed by Umesh Shukla and written by Saumya Joshi. Shukla is known to make movies on unconventional subject the last we saw was Oh My God.
The about one-minute teaser gives us a peek about 102 Not out and seems like a performance worth a watch. 75-year-old Amitabh is playing a 102-year-old who has a 75 year old son played by Rishi Kapoor.
The teaser gives no hint as to what the movie is, except that it should be worth its money and wait. Amitabh’s dialogue in the teaser, “I will be the first among the fathers to send his son (75-year-old Rishi) to an old age home,” reveals enough and conceals enough to create the excitement. Playing Rishi’s father Amitabh is out to break the world record of becoming the oldest man alive, who in the movie happens to be a Chinese. Amitabh can be seen getting wet in the rain, playing a saxophone, kicking football in the teaser. The two actors have done a splendid job for the make-up they wear.
Rishi Kapoor who by his own admission had revealed in his biography Khullam Khullah that he didn’t share a good relationship with Amitabh in early days as actors. Beofe this they have shared the screen space in movies like Kabhie Kabhie which released in 1976 followed by Amar Akbar Anthony a year later, Naseeb in 1981, Coolie in 1983.
