It would be an overstatement if we say that Grover is another Shah Rukh Khan in the making, but he is, definitely, following King Khan’s footsteps
Jasnoor Kaur, The Hush Post: Stylish Bollywood actor Karan Singh Grover –who steals hearts of female movie buffs with his killing looks– was awarded with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for being the ‘Style Influencer of the Year’ at a function held in Mumbai on Friday.
It would be an overstatement if we say that Grover is another Shah Rukh Khan in the making, but he is, definitely following the King of Romance or King Khan’s footsteps. Like SRK, Karan Singh Grover –we can abbreviate his name as KSG– too started his career on small screen when he made his debut on television in 2004 with TV serial “Kya Mast Hai Zindagi”. He shot to limelight in 2007 with a medical drama serial “Dill Mill Gayye”. Like SRK, KSG also kept improving as an actor and soon he impressed everyone with his acting skills in the soap opera “Qabool Hai”.
Walking on the path of SRK, KSG also graduated to the big screen from the small one when he made his Bollywood debut with the Hindi horror movie “Alone” opposite hottie Bipasha Basu, with whom he tied the nuptial knot in 2016. Even while sharing screen space with a well-settled actress Bipasha, KSG’s acting skills were appreciated much and he wasn’t dwarfed by his over 10-year senior female lead star.
Movie “Alone” wasn’t alone for KSG, soon he was seen in an important second lead role in the sex-mystery, “Hate Story 3”, third instalment of the famous Hate Story franchise. Performance of KSG in her first two movies was highly appreciated as an actor. He has always been praised for his unique style and dressing sense.
Grover is not only a stylish man, but also a person who gives health and fitness utmost importance. He has started his new workout regime called ‘tyre flipping’. He flips and lifts hefty tyres in this type of training. His new workout regime includes a lot of exercises done with the help of tyre like doing squats holding a tyre, push-ups with tyre on his back, walking while lifting a tyre etc.
A source reportedly told an English daily, “Besides his new fitness regimen, Karan also does yoga three to four times a week minimum. He does different kind of workouts to channelize his energies in the right direction. He will now be doing a mixture of workouts – tyre and yoga as he believes in mixing it up.”
Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival was held in Mumbai on Friday under the aegis of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
