Veteran actor takes to Twitter; says medical treatment is needed after long years of work in Bollywood
The Hush Post: Bollywood star Rishi Kapoor is going to the United States (US) for medical treatment.
The veteran actor has tweeted that he is taking a “short leave from work” to go to the US. He has said that he is going for a medical treatment. He said it is due to the “wear and tear” caused by working in Bollywood for over four decades.
The 66-year-old actor took to Twitter asking his fans not to worry or speculate, a report said.
“Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years ‘plus’ of wear and tear at the movies,” Rishi Kapoor tweeted.
“With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!”
The middle son of Bollywood’s showman Raj Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with Mera Naam Joker in 1970. Rish featured in films like Bobby, Khel Khel Mein, Kabhie Kabhie, Karz, Amar Akbar Anthony, Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, Rafoo Chakkar, Bol Radha Bol, Fanaa, Love Aaj Kal and Kapoor & Sons among many others.
He was last seen onscreen in Mulk and will next be seen in Rajma Chawal by Leena Yadav, the report said.
