Ambanis visit Mumbai temple with Akash’s fiancée after Goa family outing

The Hush Post: Mukesh Ambani  along with his family and the expected new member of the family Shloka Mehta, fiancée of  Akash Ambani (Mukesh’s eldest son), visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple on Sunday, a day after a pre-engagement ceremony was held in Goa on Saturday. The two families and close friends had gathered at a five-star resort in Goa  or a ‘get-to-know-each-other’ before the formal engagement.

While the dates of either the wedding or engagement of Akash Ambani have not been finalised yet, the couple is likely to get formally engaged in June and the wedding is likely to be held in early December.

There were reports in the media of their engagement ceremony having been solemnised in Goa.

Shloka Mehta is the youngest daughter of Mona and Russell Mehta, who run Rosy Blue Diamonds, one of the world’s largest diamond trading companies.
In an interview to a newspaper, Nita Ambani has confirmed that the marriage is on the cards soon. “I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts,” Neeta Ambani said.
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta studied together at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and have been close friends for years, a report in the Free Press Journal said.

Shloka Mehta, who studied at Princeton University and the London School of Economics, is a director in her family-run diamond firm. She is also the co-founder of ConnectFor, a platform that makes it easy and convenient for people to volunteer and provide services in NGOs of their choice.

Akash Ambani is on the board of directors of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. The marriage is likely to take place in December.
