The Hush Post: Fake Aadhaar card of Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela was used to book a room in a flush five-star hotel in a sub-urban locality of Mumbai.
The matter came to light when Urvashi Rautela went to the hotel to attend an event. While the event was still on, a member of the staff of the hotel informed Rautela of a room being booked in her name. After cross checking with her secretary, Rautela denied having made any booking at the hotel.
The actress who is famous for her roles in movies like Singh Saab The Great, Sanam Re and Kaabil, cross checked the room booking details of the hotel and then found that a fake Aadhaar card issued in her name was used to do the booking.
Post this, she immediately informed the police. Basis her complaint the Bandra police registered a case under Indian Penal Code sections 420 (cheating) and 468 (forgery) against an unidentified person. According to the police further probe was underway.
While conducting their investigations, the police found out that the room was booked online by an unidentified person using a fake Aadhaar card – carrying the wrong unique identification number.
The Aadhaar card was used since hotels now ask for the guest’s identity proof before taking a booking.
