Bollywood actor Govinda was recently seen in Rajat Sharma’s popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. During the show he made certain revelations about his life. One of them was quite shocking and has taken the social media by storm. Govinda claimed he was offered a role in Hollywood blockbuster ‘Avatar’, but he had declined it.

Talking about the worldwide superhit movie, Govinda said director James Cameroon had himself offered him the role for the 2009 film. Infact, Govinda claimed, the name ‘Avatar’ was suggested by him. The Bollywood actor went on to say that he turned down the offer because he ‘could not shoot continuously for 410 days’. Another reason he cited for declining the offer was that he was not okay with the use of body paint.

“I gave the title of the film (Avatar). It turned out to be a super hit film. I told him (James Cameron) that the film will do really well. I told him that I feel it will take seven years for him to complete the film. He got angry. When I said so, he asked, ‘How can you be so sure that I won’t be able to make Avatar for seven years?’ I told him that what he was imagining was something almost impossible,” Govinda said on the show.

Ever since the 55-year-old actor made the claim, he has been trolled on social media. Memes of various colours are afloat the internet. One of the users said, “If Govinda was offered the lead role of Avatar my dad was offered the lead role of Sholay and declined it as he did not want to work with @aapkadharam.” The user also posted a morphed picture of Govinda showing him in the lead role of Avatar.

Another user said, “Avatar is nothing, wait till Govinda tells you about that one time he brought Marvel and DC together”.
