The Hush Post: While actor Irrfan Khan’s film Karwaan released this Friday there is something more important than that pertaining Irrfan. As fans were busy appreciating the star for his stellar performance, in a health update in a recent interview, Irrfan shared something important about his health. He has undergone the fourth cycle of chemotherapy and after six cycles he will have a scan. The results so far are okay.
He added that the results were positive after the third scan. While people in India are praying for Irrfan’s speedy recovery, the actor said there is no guarantee of anybody’s life.
In an interview to ANI, the actor said, “My mind could always tell me to hang a kind of chip on your neck and say, “I have this disease and I could die in a few months or a year or two.” Or I could just avoid this conversation completely and live my life the way it offers me. And it offers so much.”
Talking about his fans, who were worried about his health, Irrfan said that he is thankful to them and instead of feeling sad, they should trust nature and whatever the outcome is going to be. A few months back, the actor announced that he is suffering from a rare disease through a tweet. This came as a big shock for movie lovers, particularly his fans.
In March the news first broke that Irrfan Khan was suffering from a neuro-endocrine tumour. He has revealed this today. Neuroendocrine tumours are neoplasms that come from cells of the endocrine (hormonal) and nervous system. It does respond to treatment though not in terminally ill patients.
