Filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Kangana Ranaut seem to have buried the hatchet and moved ahead. President Ram Nath Kovind conferred Padma Shri upon the Bollywood director this Republic Day. Among the other recipients of the national honour was actress Kangana Ranaut.

However, it came as a surprise for many when Kangana praised Karan for the achievement and filmmaker reciprocated by saying the “Queen” star deserved the honour. These statements come despite the two being in a war of words.

In a recent interview Karan Johar even went ahead and said, “Tomorrow, if I have a film for which I need Kangana, I will pick up the phone and call her. Whatever the problem, whatever may have been said on social media, is irrelevant to me. I’m a filmmaker and she’s an artiste and no amount of personal bias should come in the way of that relationship. I believe in that and will stand by it.”
RANGOLI MAKES LIGHT OF KARAN

However, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel has hit back at Karan Johar. Poking fun of Karan, Rangoli in three back-to-back tweets said, “Karan Johar to aise keh rahe hain ki jaise phone karne par Kangana aa jati hai. Bhai saab, aapke aur mere chahne se kya hota hai? Kangana ko  to script chahiye hoti hia, Kabhi hogi apke paas uske layak script?”

In the following two tweets, Rangoli makes fun of Karan Johar’s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. She wrote, “Aakhiri baar Kangana ne Karan Johar kr ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ dekhi thi. Wo gusse me lal ho gyi. Mujhe bata rahi thi ki cancer patient ki chemotherapy chal rahi hai, phir b peecha karne wala chichora ladka zabardasti karta hai aur usse kehta hai ab to meri ho ja, ab to tujhe cancer hai”.

Rangoli further tweeted, “Kangana was in a shock for a long time. KJO ji agar aise scripts lekar aaoge toh aapko Bhagwan bhi nahin bacha sakta, please Kangana se door raho, sabki bhalai isi me hai”, ending with an emoji of laughter and folding hands.
