Comedian actor Kiku Sharda who plays ‘Bachcha Yadav’ in The Kapil Sharma show has been accused of cheating by Bollywood art director Nitin Kulkarni of Rs 50.70 lakh. As per the reports, Kulkarni has filed a complaint against him and six other people who are associated with a charitable trust named The Mumbai Fest, for allegedly cheating him.

However, Kiku Sharda has refused the allegations levelled against him. He said, “I am not associated with the charitable trust and attended the event like other celebrities did. I am not a member or a trustee of Mumbai Fest though my father is the secretary. My name has been dragged into this for no reason”.

Meanwhile, Nitin Kulkarni has filed an FIR with the Amboli police. According to the police, Kulkarni, was assigned to design the set for Mumbai Fest, which was a three-day event held in January last year in Bandra Kurla Complex. In the complaint, Nitin mentioned that there was an agreement between him and the trust. But, he never received his copy of the document. In fact, he wasn’t paid the money he was promised, which was Rs 50.70 lakh. The cheque he was given had bounced.

The police said, “After receiving a complaint we have registered an FIR and our probe is on. We will verify the claims made by both sides.”
