The Hush Post: Hindi film actors Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are among the Top 10 highest paid stars in the annual list issued by Forbes’. Both Akshay and Salman are rubbing shoulders with the international film stars like Jackie Chan, Dwayne Johnson, Geroge Clooney, Chris Hemsworth, Will Smith etc.
While Akshay Kumar stands 7th with annual earning amounting to $40.5 million, Salman Khan has been ranked 9th with an income of $38.5 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018, a report said.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was ranked 8th in 2017 and 2016, has been out of the Top 10 list this year and Aamir Khan has not been mentioned at all like last year also. Akshay Kumar rose to the 7th position due to his hit films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and PadMan, along with the endorsements of about 20 odd brands, the report said.
For Salman Khan, his Forbes rank is due to his hit films like Tiger Zinda Hai and Race 3. Besides, Salman’s endorsement deals and business ventures added a handsome sum to his fat paycheck.
Meanwhile, for international actors, George Clooney, who topped the list this year, owes his number #1 position to the deal with British liquor giant Diageo, which purchased the actor’s tequila company Casamigos for whopping $1 billion. Dwayne Johnson retained his second position this year with $124 million in his pocket courtesy, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage, it was reported.
