Salman Khan set to return to small screen with popular show Dus Ka Dum: WATCH VIDEO

Third season of the show will be aired on Sony Entertainment Television (SET) soon

The Hush Post: Salman Khan set to return to small screen with new season of Dus Ka Dum on Sony Entertainment Television (SET). This would be the third season of the famous TV show Dus Ka Dum and the Dabangg hero would be hosting the game show for the third time. He was the host in the first two seasons of this show also.

This comes as a big surprise for the fans of Salman Khan who were missing him on small screen ever since Bigg Boss season 11 ended on Colours TV. The first two seasons of Dus Ka Dum were a big success and had generated the curiosity and keen interest of the TV audiences across the country and even abroad.

The third installment of the popular show Dus Ka Dum is seeing the light of the day after nine long years. The format of this interactive game show is conceived by the international reality show ‘Power of 10’ where participation of the general public is done via registration and auditions. In its previous seasons of 2008 and 2009, the show also had seen many Bollywood celebrities including actors and singers on the show.

Meanwhile a release from SET said the meteoric rise in smartphone usage is leading to profound changes in how consumers today engage with the content across multiple screens. India is experiencing fast-paced growth. There are 780 million total number of television viewers and 359 million total number of smartphone users.

Celebrating average India’s power of observation, the app will converge viewers’ data with the show content. Aptly positioned as a ‘Definitive Guide To Today’s India’, this app will be the only way for the viewers to audition and get an opportunity to share the screen space with the show’s original host and megastar, Salman Khan. The app will be exclusively available on Sony LIV – the digital arm of Sony Pictures Network (SPN).

Aimed at making Dus Ka Dum the most interactive television show in the world, the app will challenge the participants’ ‘power of observation’ about India and its people in separate phases; viz ‘Survey’ leading to ‘Audition’ and ‘Play Along’ once the show launches. It is a first in the history of world television that viewers’ insights received will form the backbone for the content in the form of probable questions in the show.
