The Hush Post: An inmate of Faridkot Modern Jail has issued threat to Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh. Gobind Singh, the inmate went live on Facebook and asked the Punjab CM “seek an apology or face consequences” for “taking a false oath of the Guru Granth Sahib”, reported News 18 Punjab.

Govind Singh hails from village Mari Bhaini in Faridkot and been lodged at Faridkot jail since April.

Gobind Singh, along with another inmate who shot the video, Kuldeep Singh, has been booked under Sections 42 and 52 A of the Prisons Act (Introduction or removal of prohibited articles into or from prison and communication with prisoners). In the past 6 months, over 50 mobiles have been seized from Faridkot jail.

Meanwhile, Faridkot police has registered an FIR against Gobind and another inmate Kuldeep Singh who recorded the video. Faridkot SSP Dr Nanak Singh said police was inquiring about how the internet facility was available inside the jail along with the mobile phones.
