The Hush Post: Giving information of his decision to meet visiting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Twitter after much dilly-dally, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has said that he would meet Trudeau in Amritsar on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister has issued instructions to the state administration to give a befitting reception to the visiting dignitary. The Chief Minister tweeted, “Look forward to meeting Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau in Amritsar on Wednesday. I’m hopeful that this meeting will help strengthen the close Indo-Canadian business ties as well as the deep-rooted people-to-people relations between our two countries.”
Accusing Indian-origin Candian Defence minister Harjit Sajjan Sajjan of being a “Khalistani sympathiser”, Capt Amarinder Singh had refused to meet him during his visit to Punjab a few months ago, which had created quite a storm in diplomatic circles.
