Ludhiana: What was the modus operandi in the killing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh RSS leader Ravinder Gosain?  After four arrests recently in the Gosain murder case, the modus operandi of how the Hindu leader was killed has been partially established.

Gosain was returning home after attending an RSS shakha on October 17. The accused Ramandeep Singh, who is in jail, picked up another man from Basti Jodhewal, who rode pillion. They did not know each other. In fact, they were not supposed to introduce themselves to one another as per the directions of their ISI handlers. Gosain was shot in the head and shoulder.

A CCTV footage the day Gosain was killed on October 17.

After shooting, Ramandeep dropped this man back from where he was picked up. Who this man is remains a mystery still. Most other killings too happened in a similar fashion. The assailants came on motorcycles, killed, and fled the scene.

Importantly, sources say, Ramandeep Singh arrested in the Ravinder Gosain murder, was also wanted in the illegal weapons case. These weapons were impounded from Baghapurana in Moga.

In the illegal weapons case, the police had recovered a 9 mm pistol, two live cartridges and an open bullet shell from village Budh Singhwala in Baghapurana, Moga. Police had arrested Trilok Singh Laddi in that case. His arrest led to the name of Jimmy Singh, a resident of Jammu residing in UK. Jimmy was arrested from IGI airport, New Delhi. After Jimmy, Jagtar Singh Johal was arrested. The third accused Dharmender Singh was already in police custody.

Following this, Ramandeep Singh was arrested, who was also wanted for the illegal weapons case. And this led to the story of how Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Ravinder Gosain was shot dead.
