A jeep owner and his friend in Rajkot were allegedly arrested for setting their jeep on fire on Monday, September 2. The video of the act was shared widely on social media app TikTok.
A man wearing heavy gold jewellery can be seen pouring petrol on his jeep in the video. After that, he throws a burning matchstick on to the jeep and sets it ablaze.

The local police reportedly said, “Indrajitsinh Jadeja (33) allegedly set his jeep on fire at Kotharia road in Rajkot on September 2 and his friend Nimesh Gohel (28) was recording the act.”
Inspector VK Gadhvi reportedly said that Bhaktinagar police arrested both the accused on September 3. They were charged for negligent conduct with respect to fire.
According to the police, the owner of the jeep, Indrajitsinh Jadeja set his jeep on fire out of frustration as the jeep did not start after repeated attempts.
“When the jeep did not start despite several attempts, Jadeja told his friend Nimesh that he will set it on fire. Out of disbelief, Gohel asked Jadeja if he was serious about it. When Jadeja replied in affirmative, Nimesh stood at some distance and recorded the entire incident on his mobile phone,” said Inspector Gadhvi.
Further, he informed, “Gohel shared the video amongst his friends after shooting it. Then someone added a Punjabi song in the background and edited the video using TikTok.”
However, both the accused are out on bail court had refused to grant police remand.
