Gujjar child reported missing in Ludhiana

The Hush Post:  A one and a half year old baby boy of nomads or gujjars, who graze buffaloes in nearby open spaces, has been reported missing from their roadside temporary dwelling  in  the Jalandhar bypass area of Ludhiana since Saturday night.

According to a newspaper report, Shahdin, father of the child, told the police that at around 2.30 am on Sunday, a migrant labourer living in the quarters in the area raised an alarm about his bag being stolen. He added that they also got up because of the noise in the area and found their youngest child Imran missing.  They frantically searched for him in the area but after they couldn’t find him, they informed the police.

Police personnel from Saleem Tabri police station reached the spot and started investigation into the matter. A case has been registered and a hunt is on for the missing child.
