The Hush Post: Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) `Save Haryana’ rally in Hisar has had its own share of controversies.
As per a report in DNA, people had been promised food and Rs 350 each to attend the rally in Hisar on Sunday. But they were not given anything.
DNA further adds: “Labourers allege that they were promised Rs 350 each and food, to be present at Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal’s public rally in Haryana’s Hisar yesterday but they neither got money nor food.”
Speaking at the rally, Arvind Kejriwal lambasted the BJP for the numerous bank scams which had taken place in its tenure. He added that the AAP would context the next state assembly polls in Haryana.
Urging the people of Haryana to reject the BJP, Congress and the INLD, he said that all these had failed the people of Haryana.
“I want to ask PM Narendra Modi, that if people of this country want to deposit their hard earned money, which bank is safe? What if the bank goes bankrupt and all the money of the public is gone,’’ Kejriwal said. He also questioned the government’s intent of getting Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi back.
Terming the BJP as a part of capitalists, Kejriwal said that only that government can progress where the farmer and the labourer is happy and satisfied.
Coming down heavily on the present state government, he added that since the BJP has taken over Haryana, incidents of violence are constantly on the rise, be it the Jat reservation stir, the Dera Sacha Sauda agitation, and even crimes against women.
He announced that AAP would contest the next state Assembly elections.
“We will create a new Haryana. If you want peace, security, schools, hospitals, roads, then vote for AAP,’’ he said. He also alleged that in many places his party’s ‘Haryana Bachao’ rally posters were torn.
Other senior AAP leaders like Sushil Gupta, Gopal Rai and Navin Jaihind also spoke at the rally.
