10-yr-old boy impersonates another child in all-India entrance test for Sainik Schools

In an unfortunate case of impersonation, a 10-yr-old boy was caught sitting for an exam for some other child. The incident was reported from Model Town, Rewari in Haryana. The exam was the entrance test for admission to Sainik schools that was held on Sunday.
The boy was caught after he wrote his own name on the OMR answer sheet instead of the boy he was impersonating.
The principal of the school and two teachers have been arrested.
The matter came to light when the Controller of examination asked the boy why he had written a different name on his answer sheet. The boy immediately revealed the truth.
On his statement, the principal and the two teachers he named were called on the spot and arrested.
The SHO, Brijender Singh, Model Town, police station, Rewari, confirmed the involvement of the school staff.

However, involvement of the parents is being looked into, he said.
The minor boy was sent to the observation home for juvenile offenders in Hisar.
The All-India entrance test for Sainik schools across the country was held on Sunday. It was a one and a half hour exam held for boys born between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2009. The results will be declared on February 4.
