Vikram married Niku’s husband Sandeep’s sister. However, when Sandeep married Vikram’s sister Niko, he thought it to be a compromise in relationship
The Hush Post: In a gruesome incident, a woman was killed by her brother at village Lath, Gohana in Sonipat. Reportedly, this is being called an honour-killing of a strange kind.
Unlike other inter-caste or same gotra related honour-killings reported from Haryana, this was a different one. The accused Vikram’s sister Niku married against his wishes in 2015. This fact did not go down well with Vikram. Both of them were not on speaking terms with each other ever since. Today in the afternoon, Vikram reached Niku’s in-laws place at Lath, Sonipat, pretending to meet her.
The moment she went to the kitchen to prepare tea for him, he shot her and fled the place.
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Notably, Niku was six months pregnant.
Reportedly, Vikram from Jhajjar had married Niku’s husband Sandeep’s sister in 2014. However, when Sandeep married Vikram’s sister Niko, in 2015, which was a love marriage, he thought that his sister marrying his brother-in-law meant some kind of a compromise in relationship.
As a result, he stopped talking to the two and even threatened them with dire consequences, reportedly. Ever since, he was looking for an opportunity to teach a lesson to his sister who married Sandeep against his wishes. Today he killed her. According to the police, the accused is now absconding.
