The Hush Post: A man raped a 13-year-old girl on several occasions in January this year, when she had come to stay at her maternal aunt’s house, police said on Saturday. The incident took place in Gurugram.
The girl had come to stay with her maternal aunt in Gurugram. Her maternal aunt works in a mall.
“The victim was taken to the Mall several times by her aunt. From there she would be picked up in a car and driven to an undisclosed location. There she was allegedly raped,” Sub-Inspector Munesh Kumari, who is the investigating officer, said. Her aunt has been made a co-accused in the case.
Gurugram Police filed an FIR under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on Friday.
The teenage girl is from Uttar Pradesh, where her father works as a driver.
“The girl’s parents filed a complaint with the Uttar Pradesh police in January after she told them about the ordeal,” Badshahpur station house officer Vipin Kumar said.
The girl told the police that a man raped her in connivance with her aunt on more than one occasion.
Police are investigating whether there was any financial angle to the crime.
The girl’s father stated in a complaint that his sister-in-law telephoned him on January 27 saying that his daughter wasn’t well. He went to pick her up. The girl had a high fever. After she recovered, she narrated the woeful tale to her parents.
The girl’s statement has been recorded by the magistrate under Section 164 of the CrPC and her medical examination conducted.
