The Hush Post: The manager of a budget hotel in Gurugram has been arrested on the charges of raping a female guest at the hotel situated in Sector 45, DNA reported on Thursday.

The Gurugram Police reportedly said the incident took place in Emaar Residency where a 22-year-old woman was staying with her husband for the last one month.

The arrested man has been identified as Raghav who works as a demand manager in the hotel, the report said.

“The victim in her complaint to police said that Raghav told her they would have shift rooms on Sunday. She asked him to wait until her husband returned from work,” a police officer was quoted as saying.

The victim said in her complaint to the police that as she was not well, she lost consciousness suddenly, the report said.

“At around 11.45 pm Raghav barged into her room. When she regained her senses, she realised she had been raped. She called Raghav who admitted to his crime when she threatened to approach police,” the police officer was quoted as saying.

Later, the couple lodged complaint with the police following which an FIR against the accused was registered, the officer reportedly said.

Meanwhile, in a statement OYO, a network of budget hotels, said, “We are deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident at Emaar Residency and will continue to extend our full support to police in the probe, along with the owner of the hotel. As the matter is under investigation, we have suspended the employee in question,”

The statement claimed that Emaar Residency wasn’t an OYO-owned hotel rather a partner on franchise model.
