A private firm worker Joginder had been sacked on Wednesday over his “unprofessional behaviour”; company’s HR head Dinesh Sharma had terminated the services of Joginger
The Hush Post: Enraged over his termination just a day before, a sacked worker with his accomplice shot at and injured a Gurgaon-based company’s human resource wing (HR) head on Thursday.
The incident occurred at around 9 am on Thursday when company’s HR head Dinesh Sharma was on the way to his office in IMT, Manesar, in a car, a report said.
“Two persons on a bike tried to intercept Dinesh Sharma’s car on gunpoint. When he did not stop but accelerated instead, the pillion rider opened fire aiming to kill Mr Sharma,” Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Gurgaon Police, Ravinder Kumar was quoted as saying.
Sharma sustained two bullet injuries, the PRO said.
“The attackers, one of whom was later identified as Joginder, managed to escape from the spot. Some passersby called the police and Mr Sharma was admitted to Rockland Hospital where he is said to be out of danger,” the police PRO was quoted as saying.
Dinesh Sharma had terminated the services of a worker, Joginder, due to his alleged “unprofessional behaviour”, officials reportedly said.
Joginder then threatened Dinesh Sharma of dire consequences but the HR head did not take his warning seriously, the report said.
“We have registered a case under relevant sections against Joginder and his accomplice. Investigation is underway and raids are being conducted at all possible hideouts of the attackers. We will arrest them soon,” the police PRO was quoted as saying.
