The Hush Post: In the Morni Guest House gang-rape case, it has now come to light that there may have been other women as well who were being gang-raped and exploited at Lovely Guest House.
The special investigation team (SIT), which is investigating the gangrape case, is now examining around 70 calls made by the main accused, Sunny, who was operating Lovely Guest House in Morni, between July 15 and July 18.
The victim’s husband revealed that apart from his wife, there were other women at Lovely Guest House as well. He said his wife told him that there were three more women for sure during the period when she was kept at the guest house.
The police are also scrutinising the pictures sent or received on WhatsApp, probably of the victim and other women, which were sent by Sunny to other people to call them to the guest house.
Asked about the alleged sex racket being run by Sunny, Panchkula DCP Rajender Kumar Meena reportedly said the police were probing every possible angle and it would be premature to reveal anything.
The SIT on Monday produced the main accused, Sunny, and the manager of the guest house, Avtar before a Panchkula court after getting their production warrants. The accused were sent to three-day police custody.
Besides, six more accused — Karan Sharma, Sukhwinder Singh, Vikash, alias Vicky, Manjit Singh, Shadi Ram and Ajay Kumar — all residents of Ambala district, were also produced in the court and sent to two-day police remand.
The SIT submitted that it needed the remand of these accused to recover their mobile phones and to trace the other accused.
