Policeman on duty for PM’s rally found dead in Rohtak

A policeman was found dead ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Rohtak on Sunday. Head constable Pradeep was deputed in Rohtak for the PM’s rally.

Pradeep was staying in the apartments meant for stationing policemen in transit. He is said to have picked up a fight with someone on Saturday night. Police sources say a Pradeep was hit with a bottle on his head. He was posted in Faridabad.

Rohtak police have filed a case against unknown persons. The police have called forensic experts for collecting samples from the crime scene. Facts are being ascertained, said the police.

Meanwhile, PM Modi kicked off the party’s poll campaign for Haryana Assembly elections with the ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rally. He presented his government’s 100-day report card and praised the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government in the state.

The PM inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 2,000 crore. PM’s rally also marked the culmination of 22-day and 3,000-km long Khattar’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’. This was his first visit to Haryana after coming into power for the second term.
