After Gurmeet Ram Rahim, mother Naseeb is at the Dera Sacha Sauda helm

The Hush Post: After Gurmeet Ram Rahim, the crowds at the Dera Sacha Sauda have drastically reduced. However, his mother Naseeb Kaur is trying to retain of whatever is left and is now the main force of this once-flourishing institution.

Naseeb comes to the Dera headquarters from Ram Rahim’s ancestral home at Gursar Modia village in Ganganagar to meet devotees once per week.

Naseeb, who is a septuagenarian, is mostly seen on Sundays when Dera followers throng to Sirsa for ‘Naam Charcha’ or religious gathering.

These gatherings used to attract thousands perhaps lakhs of followers earlier. Now though, they are comparatively smaller in number.

The discourse is played on the loudspeakers. Naseeb is also seen at many big functions but she doesn’t stay at the Dera mostly. Instead, she returns to Gursar Modia. She is one of the most frequenting visitors to Rohtak’s Sunaria prison where Gurmeet is imprisoned.

At present, Gurmeet is serving his jail sentence after he was convicted by the Panchkula’s CBI court for raping two devotees of his inside the Dera headquarters.

One month after Gurmeet was convicted on August 25, 2017, his mother announced that her grandson Jasmeet Insaan would be the next in line.

However, in the last few months, Naseeb has been mostly at the helm of affairs at the Dera.

Naseeb along with some family members have taken charge because several among the 45-member Core Committee of the Dera, are missing and the committee is largely defunt.

Two most influential members of the committee, spokesman Dr Aditya Insaan and its chairperson Vipasana Insaan have gone missing after they were identified as people behind violence in Panchkula following Gurmeet’s conviction in the rape case.

Dr Aditya disappeared immediately after Gurmeet’s conviction, Vipasana went missing after the Panchkula court issued arrest warrants against her in January.
