Ludhiana: Lions club Ludhiana (APNA) with Red Cross Society organised a blood donation camp at 103 Infantry Battalion, Ludhiana on Monday. Army officers, Jawans and their families as well donated blood in the camp and close to 150 units of blood was collected today. Past district governor and chairman Lions Quest (Multiple 321) Harish Dua presided over the event, while Yogesh Soni, vice chairman (multiple 321) of Lions club too was present on the occasion. Col KS Mathur Commanding officer of 103 infantry Battalion, LT Col Manoj Choudhary other officers of the unit and some businessmen too participated in the camp and donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Dua said, “We are proud of our armed forces who are protecting us round the clock by making huge sacrifices. Inspite of being organised at a very short notice this blood donation camp organised today turned out to be a great success as we were able to collect 150 units of blood from here. The blood donation by the army officers and jawans will also help inspire people from all walks of life to contribute to this noble cause and save precious lives” Other businessmen present on the occasion included General secretary of Induction Furnace Association of North India Dev Gupta, Harkesh Gupta, Surinder Marwaha, Bhuwan Goyal, Manish Rai, Vipul Gupta.
