The Hush Post: Within a day, captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli took up the fitness challenge thrown at him by Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore. Known for his strict fitness regime, Virat Kohli started the video by saying he accepted Rathore’s challenge and that he would do his favourite core exercise, spider planks. “Try that out,” he said as the video ended.
“Now I would like to challenge my wife @AnushkaSharma, our PM @narendramodi ji and @msdhoni Bhai for the same,” he wrote on his tweet, taking the sports minister’s challenge a step further.
Rajyavardhan Rathore, on Tuesday, had tweeted a video doing push-ups in the office and urged people to shoot a video of their “fitness mantra” and share it. The Information and Broadcasting Minister had also challenged actor Hrithik Roshan and badminton player Saina Nehwal to join in.
The act is a part of the #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign initaited by the sports minister to encourage Indians to take up some form of exercise to keep themselves fit evenif it means sparing a few minutes in the office.
Hrithik Roshan too responded to the sports minister’s challenge by posting a video during cycling in the busy Mumbai streets. He tweeted “ this is how I commute to my office everyday. sitting static in a car is such a waste. Walk, cycle, jog, feel the earth, feel India”
Saina Nehwal also posted a video of her doing weight training and further challenged Gautam Gambhir and PV Sindhu.
A lot of politicians, sports stars, film celebrities are coming forward showing their fitness mantras on twitter encouraging common man to do so and also taking the campaigm further by tagging 2-3 more people to show their fitness goals.
