The Hush Post, New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of Indian Engineering Service (IES) preliminary examination 2018, India Today reported on Sunday.
All the candidates can check their results at upsc.gov.in
The commission conducted the IES preliminary examination on January 7 at various test centres across the nation.
STEPS TO CHECK UPSC IES PRELIMS RESULT 2018:
- Log on to the official website, gov.in
- Click on ‘Written Result: Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018’
- PDF file containing the roll numbers of candidates qualified for main exam will be displayed
- Download and take print out of the same.
HERE’S WHAT THE OFFICIAL NOTICE READ:
“The candidates declared qualified are required to appear in the IES (Main) Examination, 2018 to be held on 1 July, 2018.”
“The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the ‘Rules of the Engineering Services Examination, 2018’ issued by the Ministry of Railways and the examination notice no.01/2018 dated 27 September, 2017 issued by the commission which is also available on its website,” the commission added.
Note: The candidates may download their e-admit cards from the commission’s website around three weeks before the commencement of the IES (Main) Examination, 2018.
Further, the marks secured by candidates and cut-off marks of IES (preliminary) examination, 2018 will be uploaded on upsc.gov.in after the declaration of final result.
The recruitment examination is held to fill approximately 588 engineering positions in various departments of the central government.
Those candidates who qualify the preliminary round will have to appear for the main exam, dates of which will be released later. Those who clear the main exam will then be called for the interview round.
