Ten students have been wounded, four seriously, in a students’ clash between Akhil Bhatariya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Students Federation of India (SFI) on the Himachal Pradesh University campus.
The clash began at 6 am on Sunday morning on the university campus. Four persons who have been seriously wounded are Avinash Rana, other students have been identified by their first names only —Sahil, Manish and Pankaj.
ABVP claimed SFI attacked them in their shakha. However, SFI has blamed ABVP for starting the scuffle.
All ten injured are being treated at Shimla’s IGMC, ABVP district president Gaurav Attri said.
It is unclear yet to which student outfit the injured belong to. Education minister Suresh Bhardwaj visited the hospital to enquire about them.
