10 injured, 2 grievously, as private bus overturns in Kangra

A private bus overturned in Dehra sub-division of Kangra Wednesday afternoon, injuring 10 persons.

According to news reports, the private bus was on its way from Bohad Kwalu to Ranitaal. As soon the bus reached Daka Palera, the driver lost control over the bus and it turned turtle. Locals rescued the 10-odd passengers and took them to the local hospital. Two seriously injured girl students were referred to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda.

Primary inquiries reveal that brake failure may be the cause behind the accident. The Lunj police are investigating the matter.

A Volvo bus carrying around 40 passengers from Manali to Chandigarh had turned turtle near Bilaspur on Tuesday morning, injuring 15.
