Empty bus, truck washed away in Beas; roads closed at Pandoh and Aut; schools closed in Kullu, Chamba, Kinnaur
The Hush Post: Following incessant rains since Saturday, traffic on Mandi – Kullu road has been closed for traffic. The fierce Beas river has broken barricades on roads and is literally flowing on the national highway. As a result, an empty tourist bus and a truck have been washed away in the Beas at Manali.
Traffic has been stopped on orders from the Mandi administration at Pandoh and Aut. During the rainfall earlier in the peak rainy season, similar conditions were witnessed at Dwara where the road and river meet. If the situation persists any longer, alternate routes would be opened, the district administration said.
