10 school children injured, 4 serious as school van skids into 100-metre gorge in Himachal

The Hush Post: A school van ferrying school children fell into a gorge in Garli, Sarkaghat of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The accident took place at 1:00 pm.

As per reports, 10 children have been injured apart from the van driver. Out of the 10 children injured, four of them are stated to be serious.

The injured children have been admitted to a hospital in Sarkaghat about 45 kms from district headquarters Mandi. The van skidded into a gorge at least 100 metres deep. The police and rescue teams are at the spot.

This comes close on the heels of an accident which was reported from Una district in which 18 people were injured a week ago. That accident took place near Kaante village of Una. The bus ferrying passengers were on their way to a temple from village Aajoli on the border of Punjab and Himachal and were headed to Haroli.
