The Hush Post: The Jwalamukhi MLA Ramesh Dhawala has been appointed as the protem speaker. Earlier, Dhwala was miffed with the part for not making him the minister. Speaking to the media he had asked the party what was his fault and why had he been sidelined by not making him the minister. However, sources say, he was given an assurance that he might get an opportunity somewhere in future of a ministerial berth. The possibility is that after two years of Jai Ram Thakur government there is going to be a reshuffle of ministries and also some changes, which is when Dhawala could have his chances. He had, however, welcomed the party’e decision of introducing young faces in the cabinet. Dhawala defeated Sanjay Rattan of the Congress by a margin of more than 6,400 votes from Jwalamukhi constituency.
As of now he will function as a protem speaker. A protem speaker is a an operative person on the chair of the speaker, temporarily holding the post is called the Pro tem speaker. He has to work for a limited Period, till the new speaker and deputy speakers are elected after the election. When newly elected house is yet to elect its speaker, so to run activities of the House till the speaker is elected, the House chooses one of them with an agreement to work as a Pro tem speaker.
