NURPUR ACCIDENT UPDATE: 15 children dead in Nurpur school bus accident

The Hush Post: A school bus overturned and fell into a 300-feet deep gorge in Malakpur of Nurpur in Himachal Pradesh. Fifteen students of Bazir Ram Singh Pathania School died on the spot and many were injured some of them seriously. According to the information received, 35 children were travelling in this bus. The school bus was on its way ferrying children home. According to Nurpur MLA Rakesh Pathania, out of those injured, six of the seriously injured ones have been referred to a hospital in Pathankot.

All the children travelling in this bus were in the age-group of 5 to 11 years, mostly studying in primary and kindergarten schools.

The driver of the bus too died on the spot. The accident took place when the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle and it skidded off the road. Police and rescue teams have reached the spot.
