The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh for next three days. Storm in lower and mid hills, while snow in higher hills at isolated places have been predicted.
Dr Manmohan Singh, the Director of the Meteorological Center Shimla said, ‘Due to the activation of western disturbance in the state, the weather will remain bad’. However, the state received less rainfall from October 1 to November 11. The forecast of rain brought cheers to farmers as it will be beneficial for sowing of Rabi crops.
Meanwhile, snowfall in the high mountain areas of Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti in the state is predicted. There is likely to be showers on 13 and 14 November in some areas of the plain areas of Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra and Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kullu and Chamba. According to the department, the weather will remain clear from November 15.
