Don’t tuck away your woollens just yet. The next six-seven days in Himachal Pradesh are going to be wet, according to the Meterological Department. Lightning, rain and thundershowers have been forecast from May 9 onwards across the state. Weather is expected to play truant till about May 14.
The low-lying areas will get respite from the summer heat, but people in the hills should be ready with their rain-wear. The higher reaches of Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti might get snow.
Interestingly, polling in Himachal Pradesh is scheduled on May 19 and campaigning is in full swing these days.
In Uttarakhand, the doors of the Kedarnath temple were opened for the first day on Thursday after six months.
