Shimla once again donned a white cover on Tuesday, giving tourists an opportunity to enjoy the snow if they haven’t felt the magical experience yet.
“Shimla and its nearby areas have been experiencing snow since early (Tuesday) morning,” an official of the Meteorological Department here told IANS.
The snowy landscape in Shimla would stay for a day, a Met official said.
Shimla recorded 7 cm of snowfall with a low of 0.5 degree Celsius. Kufri, Mashobra and Narkanda, Jubbal and Kharapathar recorded moderate snow.
Manali saw 22 mm rain, while Dharamsala experienced 40.4 mm rain.
Dalhousie recorded 25 cm of snow.
The Dhauladhar ranges in Kangra Valley also got a fresh blanket of snow with icy cold winds sweeping the Kangra Valley.
Kalpa in Kinnaur shivered at minus 3.4 degrees while Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district saw minus 8.6 degrees Celsius.
The Met Office has forecast scattered rain or snow in the state till Thursday.
