The Hush Post: The three undertrails, Prem Bahadur, Leeladhar and Pratap Singh, who escaped from Kanda jail two days ago and accused in heinous crimes were arrested from Rariyara village near Sabathu in Shimla.

The first one to be arrested was Prem Bahadur, who was sitting on a parapet by the road side in the midnight hours. During a patrol, a police party caught hold of him before he could make another escape. Based on his interrogation, the police started a search operation for the remaining two undertrials. The police barricaded all the exit points from the adjoining jungles of Sabathu in the rural Shimla forests. They also informed the villagers in the vicinity to keep a check on the movement of any suspicious element in  the village. The police was constantly in touch with them and information had been spread about the escape of two prisoners. The villagers and the police worked in tandem to arrest the two of the three.

When the police party reached Rariyara, the villagers witnessed a filmlike action with cops chasing the two men. Life at the village came to a standstill as they got up to witness the chase. Subsequently, the other two offenders were also caught.
