The Hush Post: Six persons belonging to Himachal Pradesh were on Saturday injured when their vehicle hit a roadside tree in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district, police said. News agency PTI has reported that a car, travelling from Himachal Pradesh to Udhampur, rammed into a tree at Paldai Majalta, injuring six people, a police spokesperson said.
The injured include Suresh Kumar (48), Rakesh Kumar (25), Krishan Chand (45), Raj Kumar (29), Ranjeet Singh (30) and Prem Singh (32) who were given initial treatment at Public Health Centre, Majalta. All six were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital here, the spokesperson said.
However, a Kashmir-based news website ‘Greater Kashmir’ has said that six passengers were killed and as many injured after a mini-bus met with an accident in Ramnagar area of Jammu and Kashmir. A police official said that a matador (registration number JK14A 0273) rolled down at Kawa in Ramnagar resulting in on spot death of six passengers. He said the injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment where from four critically injured passengers were shifted to Military Hospital for specialised treatment.
