Two leopards in a village in Manali, Himachal Pradesh caused panic among residents on Sunday as they attacked and killed three dogs and injured a man.

One of the leopards attacked and injured a resident on a bridge at old Manali’s Log Hut area. However, locals managed to rescue the man with difficulty.


The residents and hoteliers informed the Forest Department. Following this, the officials reached the spot. The rescuers have been partially successful as they managed to capture one of the leopards.

The team of officials is still trying to locate the other leopard. The residents have appealed to the officials to capture the leopard at the earliest.

The locals are still in fear as they saw two leopards walking on snow immediately after the attack. On the other hand, the victim who had sustained injuries had been treated and was also given the amount of Rs. 5,000 as relief. The captured leopard was given first aid and was sent to Palampur.
