Una accident: Car driver suffered epileptic fit say survivors, driver denies

Six persons were killed as a car carrying pilgrims to a popular Sikh shrine at Una in Himachal Pradesh fell into a 70-feet deep gorge.

The Hush Post: The driver of the ill-fated over-crowded Innova that was carrying pilgrims from Baba Vadbhag Singh, a pilgrimage shrine of Sikhs, in Una district of Himachal Pradesh suffered an epileptic attack while driving , if the survivors are to be believed. Six people were killed and nine injured when the vehicle carrying 16 people, which had a capacity of only eight persons, fell into a 70-feet deep gorge when they were returning after paying obeisance at the pilgrimage site.

Three persons were sitting on the front seat apart from the driver on the front seat. Refuting the claims of the other survivors, the driver of the Innova said that suddenly a truck came from the opposite direction and in a jiffy, he lost control of the steering wheel and the car waivered off the road and fell into the gorge.

Amongst the dead, three were from Gurdaspur and one from Amritsar.
