Jammu police arrest 17-yr-old boy who carried out grenade blast within hours of incident

The Jammu Police has arrested a 17-year-old who threw the grenade at Jammu bus stand within hours of the incident. The man has been identified as Yasin Javed Bhatt of Pulwama. He was sent by the Hizbul Mujaheedin Commander Farooq Dar aka Umar.

He came from Kulgam last night stayed overnight in Jammu, the details of which are not known and reached the bus stand in the morning.

According to the NDTV, the youth who carried out grenade attack was a minor, a 17-year-old indoctrinated youth.

After the scrutiny of the footage of all the CCTVs it came to light that a youth wearing a red jacket and a rucksack threw the grenade and started running out of the bus stand.

Subsequently all the check points were alerted by Jammu police and Yasin was apprehended from Nagrota.

The person who lost his life in the attack has been identified as Mohammad Shariq from Haridwar. Apart from him 11 locals from Jammu and 10 from Kashmir are among those injured.

In all 1 person was killed and 32 injured in this grenade attack at about 12:00 noon at Jammu Bus Stand.
