Thirteen Amarnath Yatra pilgrims injured in an accident in J&K

The Hush Post: Thirteen Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured on Thursday, when the tempo in which they were travelling crumpled into the truck parked near Birma Bridge in Udhampur. Three passengers were seriously injured and others received minor injuries. Those injured were immediately taken to the nearby hospital. Now, reportedly, they are out of danger. Meanwhile, the driver fled the spot immediately after the accident.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh ensured that all possible aid was being provided to the injured since he was in touch with all the officials.

“I am in constant touch with District Collector, and other administration officials since morning. All injured pilgrims are out of danger and have been admitted to the District Hospital. All necessary help is being provided. Most of them belong to Jhansi and surrounding parts,” said Singh.
Although, five people were killed and three sustained injuries after a landslide hit Brarimarg on the route of Baltal on 4th July. This group was travelling along the 14-kilometre Baltal route. Almost two lakh pilgrims have registered for the yatra from across the country.
