The Hush Post: A Kashmiri youth’s video has gone viral after he was found lecturing the entire Hurriyat leadership, who had come to condole the death of his cousin Kaiser Bhat. Bhat who had climbed the bonnet of a CRPF vehicle was subsequently run over by the vehicle as it came under attack by stone-pelters in Srinagar.

This youth accused the Hurriyat of double standards, and his angst was captured in a video that went viral, embarrassing the leadership of the Hurriyat.

However, hours after the first video, another video came out quite strangely through a Kashmiri news portal in which the youth, though admitted that he had lost his temper, emphasised that his earlier statement wasn’t shown in context. He said that Hurriyat was like “family.”In the first video, Irfan Ahmad who happens to be Kaisar’s cousin can be seen questioning the visiting Hurriyat leaders, headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s close associate Mohammad Shafi Khan, at the house of the deceased’s aunt.

Lashing out at top Hurriyat leader Syed Shah Geelani Irfan says: “You talk of implementing Nizam-e-Mustafa (sharia) here but send your wards to Christian schools (DPS).”Geelani last week had commended Sama Shabir, daughter of Shabir Shah, for topping CBSE class 12th exams in J&K with 97.8% marks in humanities. Irfan accused that Sama passed out of Srinagar based DPS.

He further added: “Kaisar’s two sisters don’t even know why their brother died. Do they know what martyrdom is? A person should be buried immediately after his sacrifice but you put the bodies on display on roads. Is this Nizam-e-Mustafa? Our Prophet (peace be upon him) never let any funeral wait,” he says.

He then tears into the Hurriyat directly, “There is just sloganeering. Give us one answer as to what the leadership is doing? What does a martyr do in his grave?”In an introspective mode, Irfan says: “Lakhs are now scared by the name of Hurriyat. I was also a fan of Geelani sahib, but now I have to change my opinion.”
