NIA (National Investigation Agency) carried out searches at seven locations in Srinagar on Tuesday in connection with J&K terror funding case.
A high tech internet communication set up was recovered from separatist leader Mirwaiz Farooq’s residence, according to ANI news agency.
The spokesman in a statement said, “NIA teams were accompanied by CRPF and Jammu & Kashmir Police personnel.”
The other separatist leaders whose premises were searched are Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah, Mohd Ashraf Khan, Masarat Alam, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and Naseem Geelani.
Property papers, financial transactions receipts, bank account details, letter heads of different terrorist organisations and documents relating to recommendations for visa for admission in Pakistan educational institutions were found.
“Electronic devices including laptops, e-tablets, mobile phones, pen drives, communication system and DVRs were also seized during the searches,” the NIA spokesperson said.
There has been a lot of frenzy in Srinagar and other parts of the Valey after the Pulwama attack on CRPF convoy that led to the death of around 40 CRPF jawans.
