Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Srinagar on Sunday. Mobile services and the Internet services were temporarily suspended.
However, during his visit, PM Modi also took a boat ride at the Dal Lake in Srinagar. A video of him, posted by the BJP’s official Twitter handle, showed him waving his hands. However, there was nobody to wave back at him.

His video, however, left everyone confused. With the strict security measures in place, there was no way there would be anybody waving back at Modi at the Dal Lake. Political opponents like Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti did not miss the opportunity taking a jibe at the prime minister.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah tweeted:

This camera person has done the Hon PM a huge disservice by not showing all the people furiously waving back because there is no way the PM would be waving at an empty lake.

PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti tweeted:

For the those who are asking , the 👋is for BJPs countless imaginary ‘friends’ in Kashmir.
