The results for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced are declared today. Shrey Singla and Gunsagar Singh made Ludhiana proud by getting All India Rank 36 and All India Rank 498 respectively. Moreover, in the IIT Roorkee region, Shrey bagged the third position.
Shrey completed his schooling from BCM Arya Model School, Ludhiana. Both of his parents are from a medical background as his father is a heart specialist and mother is an Anaesthetist.
In the JEE Mains exam, Shrey managed to get All India Rank 49. However, he focused on clearing the basic concepts to get a good rank in the JEE Advance exam.
Discussing his preparation for the exam, he said, “From last two years, I am not using social media. My parents advised me to focus on clearing the concepts to crack the exam. I also referred to the question papers of the previous years. Now I want to do computer science engineering from IIT Bombay.”
On the other hand, Gunsagar completed his 10+2 from Guru Nanak International Public School, Ludhiana. His father is a banker and mother is a housewife.
“Putting an extra effort for JEE Advance exam, I started studying for 7-8 hours daily. Now my plan is to do Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi,”, said Gunsagar.
Other than these two, Uday Singla (AIR 828), Kanav Krishan Mehta (AIR 1099), Akashdeep (AIR 1236), Karan (AIR 2775), Himanshu Jhavar (AIR 3431), Ansh Sardana (AIR 3839) and Anushka Modi (AIR 5652) are amongst the top 10,000 from Ludhiana.
The result declaration was scheduled at 10 a.m. But due to some technical issues, the result was delayed. However, the students saw their results at 4 p.m. when declaration message was published on the site.
